Guidelines for International Transit / Transfer in Thailand

International flights with transit / transfer passengers shall be permitted only at Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Don Mueang International Airport.

 

You may need a transit visa in case of immigration procedures passing (Thailand Entry, Don Muang Airport Transferring) and transit times more than 12 hours event not go through immigration procedures. Please check more details of transit visa (Click).

Important Information

 

No longer required insurance with minimum coverage USD 10,000 for medical treatments in Thailand  from 1 July 2022 onwards. However, please check for the latest travel requirements with the airline and the country of your further destination.

 

● The transit / transfer time shall not exceed 24 hours.

● Generally, tickets must be issued with a single PNR and same ticket number. Please contact the airline for transit / transfer availability. If you are not allowed to transit / transfer, you need to go through Thai immigration procedures.

● Passengers must proceed on the defined sealed route and designated area at the airport

● If the passenger needs to go through the immigration procedures, to collect baggages or to board an onwards flight, transit visa is required, unless the passenger qualifies for Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme (No longer required Thailand Pass registration for transit / transfer passengers).
