Important Notice

Required documents for boarding procedure
(1) Passport
(2) Vaccination Certificate of COVID-19* (if vaccinated with at least 2 doses more than 14 days before departure); OR a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK (conducted by medical doctor and not self-test) test result for COVID-19 issued within 72 hours before departure (if unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated).
*The test result must be written in English with a doctor's signature OR stamp/authorized seal of medical clinic/hospital. Please note that the doctor's signature can be original or electronic version.*
*As for the 1st and 2nd dose of Vaccination Certificate of COVID-19 (or 1st dose of Johnson & Johnson) should contain the travelers’ personal information (full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number and details of each vaccination). For those who have received such vaccines in Japan, please acquire the Vaccination Certificate of COVID-19 in hard copy from the ward office in your area of residence. The detailed information regarding the Vaccination Certificate of COVID-19 in Japan is available on the website of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan at https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/covid-19/certificate.html.
*In case of urgent need to travel to Thailand, Japanese and non-Japanese travelers with residency in Japan are able to use the Vaccination Certificate of COVID-19 in electronic version from the application 新型コロナワクチン接種証明書アプリ. The travelers are requested to take a screenshot of the e-Vaccination Certificate on the mobile phone, which has to cover all details of the person’s full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number and details of vaccinations (all in one page). The QR Code can be downloaded from the application. Please save the screenshot and the QR Code in the mobile phone or print them out.
*Please note that some airlines may request a negative PCR test result before boarding.

Regulations for travelers under the age of 18 who would like to enter Thailand · Children under the age of 18 are not required to receive COVID-19 vaccination if travelling with a parent/legal guardian who is fully vaccinated. Regulations for travelers who have previously been infected with Covid-19 and would like to enter Thailand · Travelers who had been infected with COVID-19 at least 14 days before the date of travelling, and fully recovered, will be able to travel to Thailand. |
Regulations for international transit/transfer passengers · From 1 July 2022, international passengers who will not pass through the immigration procedure to enter Thailand and transfer directly to a third country by transit, are NOT required to register for Thailand Pass, NOT have to present Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination or a negative RT-PCR test result; and NOT required to present a health insurance (no requirement to show a health certificate with minimum coverage of 10,000 USD). |
